AI-NATIVE CYBER DEFENSE
RESEARCH & METHODS

Cyber defense, built on
verifiable methods.

The engineering methods guiding our research: how to assess risk, generate defenses and confirm that remediation works.

METHOD NOTE / 01

From vulnerability signals to validated impact

A disclosure is the starting point

Disclosures and attack research provide valuable signals. Moving from an affected component to an exploitable issue in an enterprise system requires asset and business context. Our research starts with components, versions, configuration requirements and attack prerequisites.

Establish relevance, then design validation

Use authorized inventories, versions and configuration to establish relevance, then choose validation methods appropriate to business risk. Agree on scope, intensity, test windows, stop conditions and data handling before execution.

Support conclusions with evidence

Preserve prerequisites, key steps, observations and impact for confirmed findings. For unconfirmed issues, retain uncertainty and test limitations instead of treating a risk signal as a confirmed exploitation.

Prioritize risk using asset relevance, actual impact and supporting evidence.
METHOD NOTE / 02

Give generated defenses reviewable boundaries

Patches, rules and policies serve different purposes

Code patches address root causes. Detection rules identify related behavior or signals. Temporary policies may reduce exposure under specific conditions. Each measure needs a clear account of its scope and limitations.

Generation is followed by review

AI-generated changes should include readable differences, scope, dependencies and validation methods for engineering and security teams to assess. Changes in customer environments follow agreed approval and change-control processes.

Plan rollback and preserve applicability

Temporary rules and policies can introduce false positives, false blocks or applicability limits. State activation conditions, observables and rollback steps, then continue checking them during retesting.

A generated defense is a proposed change. Review and retesting determine whether it is ready to apply.
METHOD NOTE / 03

Keep validating after remediation

Recheck the original attack path

Retesting should reuse the original asset context and prerequisites where possible, checking whether the patch or protection blocks the confirmed path. The disappearance of an alert does not replace validation of the original issue.

Include normal business in acceptance

Security changes should be checked against normal functions and key business requests for functional impact and false blocks. Security and engineering teams should agree on representative cases and document known validation limits.

Validate again after changes

Code, configuration and dependency changes may alter risk conditions. We are researching versioned scenarios and results that connect later regression checks, so previously addressed findings can be reassessed.

Verify that the attack no longer succeeds, and that normal business still works.
